Crystal Technology's core competence lies in crystal growth and optical device manufacturing of components based on those crystals. Lithium niobate as well as tellurium dioxide crystals are grown at the facilities in Palo Alto. Congruent as well as MgO doped lithium niobate is most commonly used in high speed integrated optics and nonlinear optical frequency-doubling applications. Apart from our main product lines, Acousto-optic devices, RF drivers, PPLN, and wafers based on lithium niobate, we also offer a variety of products based on our technology.

One of the first applications for congruent lithium niobate was electro-optic Q-switching. We still offer such products with varying apertures and lengths.

Because we are the leading supplier of both lithium niobate and tellurium dioxide crystals, we are uniquely positioned to work with you developing a new application using these materials. Recent examples of novel used for these crystals include low-cost electron guns based on pyroelectricity and funamental nuclear experiments investigating neutrino-free double-beta decay.
